3 Ways To Achieve Your Daily, Weekly & Monthly Goals

Do you feel a sense of urgency soon as you wake up each more? Are you reaching your goals or are you struggling just to keep up. Trust, me when I say there use to be a time in my life when panic would set in, imposer syndrome felt real and much more. I truly wanted to achieve my daily, weekly and monthly goals, but I kept missing the mark each and every time. It can be frustrating and make you feel as you’re not meeting the marks that society has set up for you. First, remember the article I shared earlier this month, Best Tips For Running A Successful Business On Your Terms

First, we are going to break this down backwards actually. My favorite business owner Steve Jobs once said

You can’t connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path.

This has always stuck with me, since I heard him utter these words to a crowd of hundreds. We tend to look at our big goals and not knowing how we can actually tackle them.

Be Intentional

Yes, as cliche as it sounds this is a keep part of achieving your daily, weekly and monthly goals. Every year, I would set a list of intentions and goals for the year that I want to achieve for my business and personal life. My life feels more centered when I am working towards something in all aspect. For several years, I would write to save for a downpayment on a home. However, I was never intentional with the goal of achieving this. Finally, I truly created a plan for purchasing a home, planning for retirement and paying off debt.

Write Them Down

Writing your goals, dreams and thoughts down makes things even more real. Seeing your words on paper sets a fire under you to work harder. Three days before the new year I get all Drake emo and start to make a vision board, affirmations and goals. As said in the previous point I truly want to be intentional with everything I do. Not wasting time doing things that do cause heart ache or grief. There are too many dead people walking on earth doing things they hate. So, my yearly list has maybe 15 or less goals I want to achieve. Then they are broken down into quarters and finally months. Too many times people try to achieve everything at once. This is what causes the stress in their life. On Saturday evening or sometime Sunday, I sit down with my monthly goal list to see what I need to tackle for that week. Then everything is broken down into days. I can never harp too much on how much day designation, theme week and batch system work for me.

In addition to that, putting too many things on your plate for this month to achieve! We will pile on the plate full of stuff causing us to miss the mark each time. Then when we miss the mark, we have an an excuse to utilize. Your excuses are keeping you from achieving your goals.

Accountability Group

This is a huge one! Stop going at things alone. Yes, we have all been burned in the past but I am telling you forgive and open yourself up to an amazing community that wants you to succeed. Too many business owners scared someone is going to steal their “million dollar” idea that they struggle with achieving their goals, dreams and visions. Yes, there are vultures out there but there are more people wanting to cheer you on. One thing, I love more than anything is seeing the woman who consult with me rock with each other. They not only have a built in support group for words of encouragement, these women are sharing each others products and buying them without discount. Get you a group that’s going to keep you on your toes and call you on the bullshit.

These three simple tips to help you really get aligned with achieving your daily, weekly and monthly goals.
