Last week while browsing Pinterest, one of my dear friends repinned this goal setting chart. J6 Designs is the company that made the chart, and based it on website goals. The chart can be used towards any goals in my opinion. We are three months into the new year, and I know some people have let go of their resolutions already. If you have let go already, do not worry! You can get back on the right track by setting obtainable goals instead. I stated before that I prefer goal setting over resolutions any day of the week. This chart is very helpful, and J6 Designs even lists more information on their site to help with your goals.
Goals should be specific, measurable, actionable, relevant, and time-based (always). Having these guidelines will keep you on track. Also, sharing your goals with others can help too. 43 Things is a website where you can share your goals and the progress of achieving them. It’s great to have a community behind you when trying to reach your goals. Sometimes as an entrepreneurs, our non-business friends just don’t understand what you are going through, so you have to seek like-minds to keep pushing forward. This website can help you do that.
The first two years of running Imperfect Concepts were the hardest. I went months without sales, and it was frustrating beyond belief. I was wandering with no direction, but then I sat down and made goals that were attainable yet ambitious. Going into my fourth year, I am even more goal focused. However, I still find time to relax, which is much needed. I have learned to roll with the punches, and now ICB has weekly and monthly goals for sales. The happiness when I reach my goals makes me beyond excited. In the weeks and months I miss them, and I go back to see what led to my past success and accomplishments. Just know, your journey is worth it.
