Last week, I was having a conversation with my best friend about how great it was to be a kid, especially during the holidays. We reminisced about the fun of getting Valentine’s Day cards and the candy when you went to school. Everyone received something. Now as an adult with no boyfriend, I still want to feel special and my friends do too. I remember Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere made cards last year, and that’s where my crafty inspiration came from.
I purchased the Card Stock, Tacky Glue and Silver Sticker Letters from Hobby Lobby. I bought the Heart Stickers and Ribbon from Target. They were both in the see-spot section for $1.
The first card is for the special friend in your life, and it’s fairly simple to make. All you have to do is align the letter stickers and add hearts, plus ribbon. To make the holes for the ribbon, I used the tip of a pen.
This DIY project was actually super fun. I didn’t mind all the glitter that got on me during the process. I’m so excited to send them off to friends and family in order to bring some St. Valentine’s Day cheer. What do you think of my Valentine’s Day cards?
