What’s your biggest accomplishment?
On the surface, I want to give a standard answer like graduating from college or some other great feat. However, to be as transparent as possible, my greatest accomplishment in life has been something much more un-documented. My greatest accomplishment has been realizing what is and is not important in life. That alone has brought me the greatest rewards a girl could ever ask for! Shout out to JESUS!
What are three books you would recommend to our readers?
Ohhhh I love love love books! I don’t know which is more fun, reading them or collecting them? Either way, narrowing it down to three won’t be an easy task. I’m going to give it a shot.
1.)My favorite book is Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman. I could not possibly describe how much of an eye opener this book was. It’s all about getting REAL with GOD, and not just “playing church” or slapping a fish on the back of one’s bummer and calling ourselves Christians. I loved it!
2.) The second book is Daddy Loves his Girls by T.D Jakes. It’s a great book for all women, whether they grew up with their biological father in their home or if he was absent. The book grants great insight to truly just how much Jesus loves us, as his daughters.
3.) 48 Laws of Power – Though it was not written with “business branding” in mind, it works wonders when building your personal and professional reputation.
YIKES! If someone came to me for advice on starting their own business, I would encourage them to be passionate about the journey they are setting out on. Do not do it for the money, (because there will be very little of it in the beginning anyway), and do not do it because it seems “popular” at the time. Find something that you love, then find a way to make people pay you to do it, or have it for themselves!
Inspiration. As odd as it seems, my inspiration stems from the lifestyle that I want for myself and my future family. I need the unlimitied choices that come with financial freedom. My husband is a tireless worker, and so are a lot of the women I look up to in business. Just watching their hard work pay off is so inspiring, and I hope to inspire someone else by how hard I work as well.
NOT. AT. ALL. A personal life? I haven’t know what that is like since undergrad. SMH. My full time job is being a wife and a worker. I’m sure my friends would like to fire me but they just can’t do it.
My favorite thing about running my own business is being able to have an inspiring impact on those around me. I love getting messages or emails from women who simply say “I needed that” or I loved this or that about you/ your company. It makes me feel like I’ve done at least ONE thing right thus far.
